Gender Equality at INPACS03.09.19
INPACS HQ is currently investigating the Gender Balance within the INPACS network. In this course, we sent out a survey to all members asking for gender-specific workforce data. THANK YOU to all members that took part so far. This survey helps us to get a better understanding of the current situation and to create a solid base for equal opportunities within our network.
This is our call to take over responsibility.
Gender equality and women’s empowerment is integral to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations (SDGs), which are the foundation of our sustainability strategy. Women and girls represent half of the world’s population and therefore also half of its potential. But, today gender inequality persists everywhere and impedes social progress. Women remain underrepresented in leadership and management level positions in the public and private sectors. While quotas have been implemented to boost women’s participation in politics and corporate boards, parity is far from reality.
